Florida has much to see, and much that is beyond the sandy beaches. Go to the interior, don’t miss the springs and lakes, go further than the beach and head to islands and keys out at sea, get to know all the wildlife from manatee to croc to purple gallinule.

We, for the most part, started in the panhandle and and hugged the coast, making our way around the entire peninsula, darting inland, but never getting too far from the sand and sea we love. And whatever you do, get to the everglades…get to the keys. And yes, we did not go to Disneyworld.
