- We stayed: in a home on East Beach (rv-less!)
- We explored: the beach, the beach, the beach, Fort Frederica National Monument, the sunken Golden Ray, the beach
- We fished: mostly we crabbed from the St. Simons pier
- We ate: Sweet Mama’s (pork pops! bacon biscuit!), a delicious thanksgiving turkey from Southern Soul BBQ, fried chicken from Porch
- We drank: Silver Bluff Brewing Company
- We read: A Gift from the Sea by Anne Morrow Lindbergh, my all-time favorite beach read that never fails to settle me into beach rhythms
- Making me think of the book: Janisse Ray’s Ecology of a Cracker Childhood
