Yes there are some phonics and grammar and math that are important. And we are doing our best to keep up. But we are also getting swept up by nature, novels, geography, art, and indigenous tribes. The kids’ nature journals are masterpieces. Their first hand experiences of nature, science, animals, and our earth are more valuable than gold.

That said, it’s not without some screaming, tears, and desperation.

So I’m declaring next week a fall break.
