Oh the joy of a few clear blue sky days in a place that typically stays rainy and cloudy. Cold beaches are a thing I’m still getting used to. But a place where rivers and waterfalls and lush forest run right into the ocean; there’s nothing like it.

• We stayed: Sutton Campground
• We played: Siuslaw National Forest, Bob’s Creek beach, Yachats Ocean Road State Natural Site, so many beaches and stops along Highway 101 between Florence and Yachats
• We enjoyed: Yachats Brewing and Farmstore (five stars!), Hukilau, Homegrown, Yachats Brewing beer (Thor’s Well and Berry Saison)
